Proficiency test for the mechanic measurement variable: torque wrenches
A proficiency test for the calibration of torque wrenches will be conducted. The methodology and execution of the proficiency test comply with the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17043:2023.
Three torque wrenches (1 – 10 Nm, 20 – 200 Nm, and 1000 – 1000 Nm, indicating and click-type) will be provided as calibration artifacts. The artifacts are to be calibrated in accordance with DIN EN ISO 6789-2:2017 at the beginning, 60%, and 100% of their measurement range. At each measurement point, the mean deviation as and the corresponding relative expanded measurement uncertainty W must be determined.
The assigned values will be determined using the weighted mean of all participant results from accredited calibration laboratories (consensus value).
Schedule and Process:
Registration Period: until 25 September 2026
Planned Start of the Interlaboratory Comparison: November 2026
The proficiency test will be carried out in a round-robin format, including intermediate measurements by the pilot laboratory as well as calibrations before and after all participants. Each participant will have one calendar week to perform the calibration and forward the calibration artifacts to the next participant.
Interested in participating in our next interlaboratory comparison? Complete the contact form below by 25 September 2026. We will provide you with a non-binding quotation as quickly as possible. Participation only becomes binding once the quotation has been accepted and an order confirmation has been issued.
